Pre-Keiser
Prior to joining the Keiser staff, Bowens was the defensive coordinator at The Benjamin School. During the 2023 season, the Buccaneers allowed just 11.5 points per game, finishing 8-3 on the year. In 2023, the Buccaneer defense allowed just 79 rushing yards per game and 111 yards per game through the air. He began his tenure at The Benjamin School in 2020 as the head defensive line coach, serving in that position for two seasons before being promoted to defensive coordinator. Bowens began his coaching career in 2019 at his alma mater Treasure Coast High School where he was the assistant defensive line coach. Bowens was defensive lineman for the Harding Bisons (2015-2019).

Bowens earned a general studies degree at Harding University in 2019.
