Owen’s Objective
  • Entering his second year as the Defensive Coordinator for the Seahawks football team
  • Helped the Seahawks to a 15-5 overall record and 10-2 Mid-South Sun Division mark in two seasons
  • The Seahawks made their first-ever NAIA playoff appearance in 2019, falling to No. 10 University of Cumberlands
  • Part of the programs first undefeated season in 2019 with a 9-0 record
  • Garnered six All-Conference awards on the defensive side of the ball
  • Coached Sage Chen Young to Mid-South Freshman of the Year honors in 2018 and Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2019
  • Aided in two NAIA All-American honors
  • The Seahawks defense ranked sixth in the country for pass defense efficiency (100.90) in 2018 and second in 2019 (147.80)

Pre-Keiser
Prior to arriving at Keiser, Owen spent three seasons at Florida Tech in various roles including; cornerbacks coach, video coordinator, assistant defensive backs coach, and graduate assistant. Part of his duties included, recognizing personnel and tracking what the offense was doing and assisting with game day adjustments for the defense.
 
Playing Career
Owen was a member of the football team at NCAA Division II, Florida Tech.
 
Personal
Owen received his Associates degree from Los Angeles Valley College before gaining his Bachelors degree from Florida Tech in 2014. He went on to complete his Master of Business in Administration in 2017 at Florida Tech.
