Prior to joining the Seahawks coaching staff, Ackley worked at the University of Maine where he was the assistant offensive line coach under Patrick Kugler as well as the assistant quarterbacks coach under Andrew Dresner.

Personal
Ackley received a degree in physical education from the University of Maine in 2022. He is currently working towards as Master of Athletic Leadership from Clemson University.
