Keiser volleyball opened Sun Conference play on Saturday afternoon, defeating Warner (FL) 3-1 (25-22, 24-26, 25-13, 25-18).

Cece Worsham led all players with a match-high 14 kills while hitting .300, and she added nine digs to finish with a team-best 15.0 points. Addison Chapman and Aubree Valcourt each chipped in seven kills, with Chapman also contributing two blocks solo and Valcourt anchoring the block with a team-high four total stops. Hannah Mary Herrick was efficient in a complementary role, hitting .353 with six kills on just 17 swings.

Mallory Dills ran the Keiser offense, dishing out a match-high 29 assists to go with a team-leading eight digs, while Amie Molina added nine assists of her own on a perfect 1.000 hitting clip. Makenzi Bennett paced the Seahawks defensively with 10 digs and also served up a pair of aces, and Reese Jones and Paryss Betts each added 10 digs off the bench.

Keiser dropped the second set in extra points, 26-24, before regrouping to take control in sets three and four. The Seahawks pulled away in the third set, winning 25-13 behind a .474 hitting percentage as a team, their best mark of the match.

Warner got a balanced offensive effort from Siarah Bencosme and Araya Garrison, who each finished with 10 kills. Garrison hit .368 for the match, and Julia De Jesus added seven kills. Rylee Waldie was Warner's most efficient hitter, going 8-for-14 with no errors for a .571 clip. Maricelys Rivera and Imar Laboy ran the setting duties, combining for 29 assists, and Rivera led the Sea Lions with 17 digs.

The Seahawks return home on September 9th to host St. Thomas, with first serve set for 6:30 PM.

• Makenzi Bennett paced Keiser defensively with 10 digs and added two service aces
• Bennett is currently No. 6 in the conference in digs per set (3.97) and No. 7 in service aces (0.49 per set)
• Reese Jones and Paryss Betts each added 10 digs off the bench
• Keiser's best set of the match came in the third, hitting .474 as a team in a 25-13 win
• As a team, Keiser out-hit Warner .241 to .163 and won the kill battle 46-45 while committing nine fewer attack errors (14 to 23)
