Avril Amil Ruiz scored a hat trick and Wilma Nyberg added her first goal of the season as Keiser scored six times in the second half in a 7-1 win over Southeastern on Saturday.
Keiser remained unbeaten at 6-0-2, while the Fire fell to 4-2-1.
The Seahawks controlled the early play, and Southeastern kept things tight through the first half. Keiser broke through in the 21st minute when an own goal put the Seahawks in front, and they took a 1-0 lead into the break.
The second half belonged to Keiser. Amil Ruiz struck less than two minutes after the restart, finishing off a feed from Blanca Bächi and Ane Buer in the 47th minute to make it 2-0. Southeastern answered in the 53rd minute when Sara Irurozki scored off a pass from Rebecca Laface and Eden Greenfield, but that was as close as the Fire would get.
Keiser scored five unanswered goals from there. Luisa Fontes made it 3-1 in the 57th minute on a Bächi and Ruby Vernon assist. Amil Ruiz scored her second in the 61st minute, again set up by Vernon, and Bächi scored unassisted in the 63rd to make it 5-1. Amil Ruiz completed her hat trick in the 66th minute off a pass from Steingerthur Snorradottir. Nyberg capped the scoring in the 72nd minute, finishing a Victoria Clark corner kick that deflected off a defender for her first goal of the year.
The Seahawks finished with an 18-7 edge in shots and a 13-5 advantage in shots on goal, plus a 9-3 margin in corner kicks. They outshot Southeastern 10-1 in the second half. Mio Tanaka played all 90 minutes in goal and made four saves.
