The Sun Conference announced the 2026 Preseason Women's Soccer Coaches Poll on Monday morning with Keiser picked to finish first in the conference. The 2026 Sun Conference Preseason Women's Soccer Coaches' Poll was voted on by the conference's nine head coaches.
Top of the League
- Keiser grabbed the top spot with 61 points including five first-place votes
- Southeastern followed in second with 57 points and three first-place votes
- SCAD also eclipsed 50 points with 51 and the final first-place votes
A Look Back at Last Season
- The Seahawks are coming off an NAIA National Championship in 2025 under NAIA Coach of the Year, Alex Adams
- Keiser went into the NAIA tournament with a 15-3-1 overall record after falling in the Sun Conference Championship game
- KU has 6-1-1 conference record, clinching the second seed in the Sun Conference Tournament
- First-Team All-Sun Conference selections Emilia Nilsson and Steingerður Snorradóttir return to lead the team along with four other all-conference members
- Of the returners, Blanca Bächi leads in scoring with 11 goals last season
- On the assists side, Snorradóttir had nine assists lasts season which was tied for third on the team
- Following her was Bächi and Luisa Fontes with seven each
- In goal, Mio Tanaka returns after making 19 starts last season including all five games at the NAIA National Tournament
- There will be 13 newcomers joining the team in 2026 with a mix of transfers and first-year players
