Iver Sokhan-Sanj was named the 2026 NAIA Jack Nicklaus Award presented by Workday recipient on Monday. The Nicklaus Award recognizes the national player of the year at the Division I, II, III, NAIA, and NJCAA levels.
Sohkan-Sanj, along with Jackson Koivun of Auburn, Max Barile of Florida Southern, Jonathan McEwen of Washington and Lee, and Abe Bignell of McLennan, were recognized as the top golfers in their respective divisions.
The native of Lorenskog, Norway, becomes the third Seahawk to win the award (
Jakob Stavang Stubhaug - 2022;
Isac Wallin - 2024).

- Became the third golfer in Keiser history to win Sun Conference Medalist honors
- A two-time Sun Conference Golfer of the Week
- Shot a career-low 201 (−15) at the Music City Classic (April 13-14) - second-lowest 54-hole total in Keiser history
- Set the school record for low round with a 9-under 63 in Round 2 at the Music City Classic
- Finished the year with an adjusted scoring average of 70.3
- Currently ranked No. 7 by clippd
Nicklaus, a Big Ten and NCAA Champion at Ohio State, helped inspire and create the Jack Nicklaus Award in 1988. The award is now presented to the National Player of the Year in NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, as well as NAIA and NJCAA.
