Five finalists have been named for the 2026 NAIA Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Award, as announced on Wednesday afternoon with Keiser sophomore
Iver Sokhan-Sanj among this year's finalists. The winner will be announced by Nicklaus on Sunday, June 7 during his annual the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday press conference. The award will be presented to the recipient by Nicklaus and Workday.
Iver Sokhan-Sanj, Second Year, Lorenskog, Norway
- Named a First-Team All-Sun Conference honoree for the first time
- Appeared in nine events for the Seahawks for a total of 27 rounds
- Had five top-5 finishes with four tournament wins
- A three-time Sun Conference Golfer of the Week
- Named the NAIA Golfer of the Week (April 22)
- Became just the third Seahawk to win medalist honors at the Sun Conference Championship (Adam Buchanan - 2025; Javier Neira Garcia - 2022)
- Shot a career-low 201 (−15) at the Music City Classic (April 13-14) - second-lowest 54-hole total in Keiser history
- Set the school record for low round with a 9-under 63 in Round 2 at the Music City Classic
- Entered the NAIA National Tournament with an adjusted scoring average of 69.9
- Is currently ranked No. 6 in the nation (clippd)
The Seahawks are in Silvis, Illinois, for the 74th Annual NAIA Men's Golf National Championship May 12-15. The championship is being held at TPC Deere Run.
