LAKELAND, Fla. The Keiser University softball team split a road doubleheader against No. 4 Southeastern University on Saturday at SEU Softball Field in Lakeland, rallying to take Game Two of the series 6-1 before dropping Game Three 3-1, to finish the weekend series at 39-6 on the season. Jordan Brantley was the offensive star of the afternoon opener, going 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, a sacrifice fly, and three RBI, while Maggie Miller delivered one of her finest complete-game performances of the year on the mound. In the series finale, Macy Schaaf accounted for Keiser's lone run with a two-out RBI single in the second inning, but the Seahawks could not generate further offense and fell 3-1 to drop the series two games to one.
The afternoon opener was a tale of two halves. Keiser was retired in order in the first inning before coming alive in the second when Sarah Phipps singled and Jordan Brantley followed with a two-run home run to left field to put the Seahawks ahead 2-0. The offense kept rolling in the fourth when Genesis Iglesias reached on a fielding error and pinch runner Keaganne Glidden advanced to third on Macy Schaaf's sacrifice bunt and a Southeastern throwing error. Phipps singled up the middle to score Glidden, and two batters later Brantley added a sacrifice fly to right to push the lead to 4-0. Keiser added two more insurance runs in the seventh, as Brantley led off with a double to left center, was sacrificed to third by Trinity Rohrer, and scored on an RBI single through the left side by Lanie Macicek. Faith Campos then doubled to right center to plate Macicek and make it 6-0. Southeastern's lone run came in the fifth on an unearned score set up in part by a Kaci Kidd throwing error. Miller was otherwise in full command, holding Southeastern to six hits over seven complete innings.
The series finale turned quickly against the Seahawks. After Keiser scored its only run in the second on a Macy Schaaf RBI single that plated Sarah Phipps, who had walked and stolen second, Southeastern answered with a two-run second inning of their own when a Chloe Baker single up the middle was followed by two Keiser errors that allowed a pair of runs to score, one on a Faith Campos throwing error and one on a wild pitch. Southeastern added a solo home run in the sixth to push the lead to 3-1 and Keiser's offense never answered, finishing with three hits as the Seahawks dropped the series finale and the three-game series two games to one.

- Keiser splits the road doubleheader to finish the three-game series 1-2 against No. 4 Southeastern, falling to 39-6 overall and 17-4 in conference play. The Seahawks dropped the series despite winning Game Two convincingly, unable to secure back-to-back wins against one of the top programs in the NAIA.
- Jordan Brantley had one of the best individual performances of the season in Game Two of the series, going 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in the second inning, a double to lead off the seventh, and a sacrifice fly in the fourth, finishing with three RBI and two runs scored. She is now batting .282 on the season with four home runs and 13 RBI.
- Maggie Miller earned the win in the afternoon opener, throwing a complete seven-inning game and allowing just one unearned run on six hits with four strikeouts on 83 pitches and 58 strikes. She improves to 7-0 on the season with a 1.74 ERA across 44.1 innings of work.
- Sarah Phipps went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored in the afternoon opener, delivering a single to center in the second to set up Brantley's home run and an RBI single up the middle in the fourth to score Keaganne Glidden. She is batting .372 on the season with 33 RBI.
- Faith Campos went 2-for-4 in the afternoon opener with a run-scoring double to right center in the seventh inning that capped the Keiser scoring. She is now batting .410 on the season with 29 RBI and 39 stolen bases.
- Lanie Macicek delivered a key RBI single through the left side in the seventh inning of the afternoon opener to score Jordan Brantley and push the lead to 5-1. She finished 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. She is batting .350 on the season with nine RBI.
- Macy Schaaf was Keiser's top offensive performer in the series finale, going 2-for-3 with an RBI single up the middle in the second inning that scored Sarah Phipps for the Seahawks' lone run. She is batting .398 on the season with 30 RBI.
- Presley Wright took over on the mound in the third inning of the series finale after Maggie Miller allowed two runs in the second, working four innings of relief and allowing just one earned run on four hits with one strikeout on 47 pitches. Wright holds a 6-1 record and a 2.25 ERA on the season across 56 innings.
- Maggie Miller took the loss in the series finale, falling to 7-1 on the season after allowing two runs, one earned, in two innings of work on 23 pitches. Two Keiser errors in the second inning contributed to an unearned run that compounded an earned run allowed in the frame.
- Keiser executed three sacrifice bunts across the two games, with Trinity Rohrer and Ava Stahl each contributing one in the afternoon opener as the Seahawks' small-ball approach helped manufacture two of their six runs. Sarah Phipps also stole a base in the series finale before being plated by Schaaf's RBI single.
- Keiser's defense committed one error in the afternoon opener and two in the series finale, with the Game Three miscues proving costly as both contributed directly to Southeastern runs in a frame that swung the outcome. The Seahawks were otherwise clean throughout the three-game series.
- Maggie Miller now owns a 7-1 record with a 1.50 ERA, five saves, and 31 strikeouts across 51.1 innings on the season, one of the top relief and spot-start profiles in the NAIA heading into the final week of the regular season.
