WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Keiser University softball team split a home doubleheader against No. 19 Coastal Georgia on Friday at Alumni Field in West Palm Beach, winning Game One 11-1 in five innings before dropping Game Two 2-4 in a tightly contested seven-inning finale, to finish the day at 40-7 on the season. Game One was historic on multiple fronts: Keiser became the first team in program history to reach 40 wins in a single season, and Mackenzie Masternak claimed the single-season all-time wins record in program history with her complete-game victory. Genesis Iglesias delivered the signature offensive moment of the day, drilling a grand slam in the third inning of Game One that ignited an eight-run frame and sent Alumni Field into a frenzy.
Game One was one of Keiser's most complete performances of the season. The Seahawks broke the game open in the third inning in historic fashion. Trinity Rohrer led off with a single and Lanie Macicek reached on a fielding error to put runners on the corners. Kaci Kidd singled up the middle to score Rohrer, and Faith Campos followed with a bunt single to load the bases. Iglesias then turned on a full-count pitch and sent it over the fence for a grand slam, clearing the bases and pushing the lead to 5-0. The Seahawks were not done. Macy Schaaf singled, Sarah Phipps followed with an RBI double to right center, and after Olivia Shoemaker drew a walk, Trinity Rohrer grounded in Phipps with a fielder's choice to make it 8-1. Keiser added three more in the fourth when Iglesias drew a walk, Tessa DiPietra came in to pinch run and scored on a Macy Schaaf RBI double to right center, and Phipps capped the scoring with a two-run home run to left. Masternak was in command throughout, finishing the five-inning complete game allowing just one run on four hits with six strikeouts on 76 pitches.
Game Two was a different story. Keiser jumped ahead in the first when Faith Campos singled, moved to second on a passed ball, stole third, and scored on a Macy Schaaf RBI single up the middle. Coastal Georgia answered in the second when Brooke Perdue homered to lead off the inning, and the Mariners added two more in the third and one in the fifth to build a 4-1 lead that Keiser could not overcome despite putting 10 hits on the board. The Seahawks got within 4-2 in the fourth when Jordan Brantley singled, moved to second on a Coastal Georgia error, and scored on a Trinity Rohrer RBI double to left center. Keiser had runners in scoring position in multiple innings but was unable to deliver the key hit, leaving eight on base in the loss as Coastal Georgia took the nightcap 4-2 to split the doubleheader.

- Keiser splits the doubleheader to finish the regular season at 40-7 overall and 18-5 in conference play. With the Game One victory, the Seahawks became the first team in program history to reach 40 wins in a single season, a landmark achievement in the program's history.

- Jordan Brantley went 3-for-3 with a run scored in Game Two, reaching base in all three plate appearances and providing a consistent offensive presence in a game where Keiser could not convert key opportunities late. She finishes the regular season batting .260 on the year.
- Trinity Rohrer went 2-for-3 with an RBI double to left center in the fourth inning of Game Two, driving in Brantley for Keiser's second run of the nightcap. She finishes the regular season batting .246 with 20 RBI.

- Keiser left eight runners on base in Game Two, putting up 10 hits but struggling to convert with runners in scoring position throughout the nightcap. The Seahawks went 2-for-10 with runners on base, which proved to be the difference in the 4-2 final.
- Keiser stole four bases in Game Two, led by Faith Campos with two swipes, continuing a season-long trend of aggressive and successful baserunning. The Seahawks used the running game to manufacture their first-inning run in the nightcap and have been one of the most active base-stealing teams in the conference all season.
The Seahawks return to action Saturday with a single game against No. 19 Coastal Georgia at noon, with the winner claiming second place in the Sun Conference standings heading into the conference tournament.
