When asked about today's result, Head Coach
Daniel Finn had this to say: "Good win today, especially after dropping the doubles point the way we did. It wasn't our best performance in doubles. We came out a little flat and slow, but I'm really happy with how we responded in singles. We locked in across almost every court, not just by playing our best tennis, but by refusing to give away cheap points and winning the big moments. That was ultimately the difference and what allowed us to come away with the win."
On defeating a majority of the Division II Sunshine State Conference, "We schedule whoever we can and embrace the opportunity to compete against some of the best Division II teams in the country, especially the ones in our backyard. We have a strong team, and we've done a great job of putting it together and getting results against those opponents this year."
On the focus going into next week's tournament, "Honestly, nothing really changes message-wise. It's simple. We have to continue doing the things we need to do moment by moment and day by day to put ourselves in a position to be successful. We'll prepare the right way, be ready to go, and take it one day at a time heading into the Sun Conference Tournament."
On reaching 200 wins, "Yeah, honestly I had no idea, but I'm honored and really appreciative of it. I've been very fortunate to have some great tennis players and coaching staff come through this program at Keiser and trust me to lead them. Any achievement like this is really a reflection of the players and staff we've had here over the past year."
The Seahawks will make their annual trip to Brunswick, Ga. for the Sun Conference Championship Tournament as the two-seed. They will play on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. against the winner of SCAD and Ave Maria.
