WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. — The No. 2-ranked Keiser flag football team showcased their dominance in the IFFA Next Level College Flag Football Showdown, securing two decisive victories at the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus on Saturday. The Seahawks first defeated Saint Francis (Ind.) 35-12 and followed up with a 40-13 win over Campbellsville (Ky.) with Ava Wallace leading the charge in both games.


Game One: #2 Keiser 35, Saint Francis (Ind.) 12

In the matchup against Saint Francis (Ind.), Keiser struck first with a 2-yard pass from Ava Wallace to Tremesha Harris, followed by a successful conversion pass to Ashlea Klam. The Cougars responded late in the first quarter when Jianna Reyes scored on a 3-yard run, but the conversion attempt failed, leaving Keiser with a narrow lead.

As the second quarter unfolded, Keiser extended their lead with a 1-yard pass from Wallace to Sophia Caprio, followed by another successful conversion. The Seahawks continued their offensive momentum when Dakota Moberg caught a 14-yard pass from Wallace, concluding a strong half.

Keiser maintained control in the third quarter with Klam connecting on a 34-yard pass from Wallace. The Cougars added a touchdown with a 4-yard pass from Reyes to Madison Huggins, though the conversion attempt was unsuccessful. In the final quarter, Caprio found the end zone once more on a 5-yard pass from Wallace, with another successful conversion, solidifying the Seahawks' win.
 


Game Two: #2 Keiser 40, (rv) Campbellsville (Ky.) 13

Against Campbellsville (Ky.), Keiser again took an early lead with a 49-yard touchdown pass from Wallace to Caprio. The Tigers leveled the score with a 5-yard touchdown pass from Natalia Gomez to Kornie Talkington, but the Seahawks quickly regained momentum with a 5-yard pass to Dakota Moberg

The second quarter saw the Tigers tie the game once more with a 10-yard pass to Monica Montes, but Keiser surged ahead as Olivia Rijo caught a 3-yard pass from Wallace, followed by a 52-yard strike to Tremesha Harris. Adrienne Rivera then connected with Rijo on a 32-yard pass, extending their lead before halftime.

In the second half, Keiser continued to dominate, with Wallace finding Janasia Wilson for a 4-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, capping off a commanding performance.



By the Numbers
  • With the two victories, Keiser improved to 1-0 all-time against Saint Francis and Campbellsville, and is now 32-9 in neutral-site games.
  • The Seahawks' 398 yards of total offense against Campbellsville marked the second most in school history, while their 342 passing yards continued a streak of over 300 yards in four consecutive games.
  • Ava Wallace leads the nation in total touchdown passes with 35 after throwing 10 touchdowns on Saturday.
  • Dakota Moberg had career-highs in both receiving (110 yards) and receptions against Saint Francis, while also leading the nation in flag pulls with 42.
