Men's Outdoor Track & Field Set for Saturday Meet at Nova Southeastern

Meet Information
Nova Southeastern University Shark Invitational
Miramar, Fla.
Ansin Sports Complex
First Event Begin at 9:00 AM

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Coming off a strong showing at the USF Alumni Invitational, the Keiser University men's outdoor track and field team will head down to Fort Lauderdale on Saturday, March 28, for the outdoor meet hosted by Nova Southeastern University.

The Seahawks will look to build on the momentum generated in Tampa, headlined by Jesse Songo's first-place finish in the 5,000m run. Songo, who won the Sun Conference Indoor Championship in the event, turned in a dominant 14:46.15 at the USF Alumni Invite and also placed sixth in the 1,500m with a 3:56.98. The distance standout will be one of Keiser's top threats for hardware once again on Saturday.

In the field, the Seahawks will rely on their javelin duo of Claudio Pugnetti and Arthur Dupuy, who combined for a sixth- and 10th-place finish respectively in Tampa. Pugnetti's 59.71m mark and Dupuy's 55.18m throw give the group a solid base to work from as the outdoor season progresses. Hugo Biget will look to improve on his 7.04m long jump, while Charlem Diable and Sigmund Le Fjeld will aim to push their triple jump marks after both landed in the top 16 at the USF meet.

On the track, Adrian Rivadulla will look to sharpen his 800m after an eighth-place finish in Tampa, and Giancarlo Vecchio will return to the 400m hurdles. The sprint corps of Alex Cruz, Dallas Desouza, Ty Goddard, and Rameau Estime will also be in action, with the relay units looking to improve on their 41.88 (4x100) and 3:21.31 (4x400) from the previous meet.

First event is scheduled for Saturday, March 28 at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale AT 9:00 AM.
