WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – No. 22 Keiser Baseball split a doubleheader with (rv) Webber International on Thursday at Silvester Jr. Field, falling 11-6 in the opener before bouncing back to take game two 8-3 in seven innings. With the split, the Seahawks improved to 17-6 on the season.

In the opener, Keiser's pitching staff was unable to slow a hot-hitting Webber lineup that racked up 18 hits in nine innings. The Warriors struck first in the top of the first, plating a run when Jalen Martinez grounded into a double play that scored Keegan Martin. Webber added two more in the second — Mike Cuello scored on a wild pitch and David Zamora drove in Skyler Schulz with a groundout — to take a 3-0 lead. Webber extended the advantage to 5-0 in the fifth on a David Zamora two-RBI single before Keiser answered in the bottom half, with Jeremy Garcia delivering a two-run double to left center that scored Tad Brooks and Avery Doezie to make it 5-2. Webber pushed the lead back to five with two more in the sixth on a Mike Cuello two-run home run to left, pushing it to 7-2. Keiser chipped away, getting an Alex Getz two-run homer in the seventh and a two-RBI Jeremy Garcia single in the eighth to pull within 8-6, but Webber answered with three runs in the ninth — highlighted by an Austen Jaslove two-run homer — to seal the 11-6 final. Garcia was Keiser's most productive bat, finishing 3-for-5 with four RBI.

The Seahawks turned things around emphatically in game two, erupting for seven runs in the second inning to take command and cruise to an 8-3 victory behind a complete-game effort from Austin Taylor. Webber drew first blood in the top of the second, plating three runs on an RBI single from Skyler Schulz and a two-RBI single from David Zamora to grab a 3-0 lead. Keiser answered immediately and decisively in the bottom half, sending 11 batters to the plate in the frame. Maddox Shaver got things started with a two-run triple to left center, scoring Jeremy Garcia and Tad Brooks. Karson Nadal followed with an RBI double to bring home Shaver, and Elian Collado added an RBI single before Ty Martinez doubled to set the table for Jake Olsen, who capped the rally with a three-run home run to put Keiser up 7-3. The Seahawks added one more insurance run in the third on a sacrifice fly from Nadal, who finished with two RBI on the day. Shaver went 2-for-2 with two RBI, while Garcia was 2-for-2 with a walk and two runs scored. Taylor was brilliant on the mound, going the full seven innings and surrendering just three earned runs on four hits with four strikeouts to earn the win moving his record to 4-1.
