When asked about today's result, Head Coach
Daniel Finn had this to say: "Good team win today. Flagler is a talented and well-coached team, and their goal today was clearly to disrupt our rhythm and try to grind us out. The girls did a good job today staying composed and playing to our standard."
On best start in program history: "When you say it out loud, it's kind of crazy to think about. We have had some very strong teams come before us, and to think this is the first time we've started 6-0 is something. That said, we always pride ourselves on scheduling the toughest opponents we can and that never makes it easy to have any winning streaks. This team has done a great job of being focused and goal-oriented so far and they compete together and have one singular objective. In the end though, how you start isn't the most relevant thing. We have to keep pushing and looking forward to getting better and stronger to get where we want to be."
Violet Apisah on today's match: "It was good. I mean, we had a tough week with matches on Monday and Wednesday, but it's always nice to get another win with the girls. Obviously, Flagler is a good team with good players, so I'm just really glad that our whole team pushed through and got the win today."
On surpassing 100 singles wins: "It's obviously a great accomplishment. I want to win all the time, especially for our team. It's great that I got 100 wins, but I'm always just trying to live for our team and keep doing it for the rest of the semester."
The Seahawks will be off for a bit before they head to Tampa to take on Division II Tampa. First serve from the Naimoli & Young Complex is set for 2:00 p.m.
