No. 11 Keiser men's basketball dominated from start to finish, rolling past (rv) Southeastern 81-54 on Saturday evening at the Furnace. The victory improved Keiser's record to 20-3 overall and 10-2 in Sun Conference play, while Southeastern fell to 20-5 on the season.
The Seahawks came out hot, shooting a blistering 57.4% from the field while holding Southeastern to just 37.0%. Jackson Slater took control early on, pouring in 13 of his game-high 18 points in the first half while connecting on 5-of-6 shooting, including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. Nadir Myers complemented Slater's hot hand with 11 first-half points, helping Keiser build a commanding 40-29 halftime advantage.
The second half saw the Seahawks maintain their stranglehold on the game. Mathew Shea came alive off the bench, adding 8 of his 16 points.Camerin James contributed 9 second-half points to finish with 11 for the game, while Myers added 3 more to reach 14. The Seahawks' largest lead swelled to 30 points at the 7:47 mark of the second half, and they cruised to the 27-point victory.
