Keiser men's basketball fell on the road to Coastal Georgia 95-90 on Saturday afternoon in Brunswick, dropping to 23-4 overall and 13-3 in Sun Conference play. The loss denied the Seahawks an outright Sun Conference regular-season title, but they will still finish as SUN co-champions and host the Sun Conference Tournament as the top seed.
Keiser trailed 41-33 at the half and was outscored 54-57 in the second period, as the Mariners clamped down defensively and converted at the free throw line when it mattered most. Nadir Myers gave the Seahawks every chance, burying back-to-back three-pointers late to pull Keiser within one on two separate occasions, but Coastal Georgia's Mannie Harris answered each time from the stripe to keep the Mariners ahead for good. Kaden McArthur's layup with 47 seconds remaining pushed the Coastal lead to three, and Harris iced the game with free throws in the final ten seconds.
Keiser will await the winner of the Florida Memorial vs. St. Thomas game on Tuesday, February 23.
