The No. 2-ranked Keiser Seahawks opened the 2026 season in convincing fashion Thursday evening, defeating Lees-McRae 47–6 at the KU Multi-Purpose Field.

Keiser (1-0) exploded for 26 second-quarter points and never looked back, piling up 338 yards of total offense and forcing four interceptions in a complete team performance.

Quarterback Ava Wallace was electric in the season opener, completing 12-of-24 passes for 195 yards and six touchdowns. Wallace spread the ball to multiple targets as Keiser finished with 310 passing yards and seven total touchdown receptions.

Her favorite target was Tremesha Harris, who hauled in three touchdown passes totaling 100 yards, including scoring strikes of 44, 18, and 38 yards. Harris also contributed defensively with an interception and 15-yard return.

Keiser got on the board midway through the first quarter when Wallace connected with Ashlea Klam for a six-yard touchdown to cap a 47-yard drive. From there, the Seahawks' offense shifted into high gear.

The Seahawks' defense was equally impressive, holding Lees-McRae to just 93 total yards and 2.2 yards per play. The Bobcats (0-1) were limited to just eight first downs and went 0-for-7 on third down conversions.
