WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Keiser University softball team split a home doubleheader Saturday at Alumni Field against No. 4 Georgia Gwinnett, dropping the opener 1–0 in a pitching duel before bouncing back with an emphatic 9–4 victory in the nightcap. The Seahawks outhustled the Grizzlies with a massive six-run second inning in Game Two to claim the split on their home turf.

Keiser wasted no time responding in the nightcap. Georgia Gwinnett struck first again, hitting a sacrifice grounder in the top of the first to score and grab a 1–0 lead. The Seahawks answered in a massive way in the bottom of the second, sending ten batters to the plate and scoring six runs to flip the script entirely. Hollie Pabst delivered a sacrifice fly to score Sarah Phipps and tie it at one, before Genesis Iglesias drew a bases-loaded walk to push Alyssa Peduto home and give Keiser the lead. Macy Schaaf then ripped a two-run single through the right side to score Faith Campos and Kaci Kidd, and Trinity Rohrer reached on a first-base error that plated Schaaf and Iglesias, pushing the advantage to 6–1.

GGC chipped away over the middle innings, doubling home a run in the fourth and adding another RBI single in the fifth to cut the deficit to 6–3. Phipps answered in the bottom of the fifth with an RBI single to push the lead back to four, and after GGC pulled within three on an single in the sixth, Iglesias delivered the knockout blow with a two-RBI single to shortstop that scored Kidd and Keaganne Glidden, making it 9–4. Presley Wright and Maggie Miller combined on the mound, with Miller working 3.2 innings and Wright finishing the final 3.1 frames to secure the win for the Seahawks.
