No. 9 Keiser men's basketball secured a hard-fought 91-84 road victory over No. 4 Ave Maria on Saturday evening at the Tom Golisano Field House, improving to 22-3 overall and 12-2 in Sun Conference play. Nadir Myers surpassed 1,000 career points during the contest, becoming the latest Seahawk to reach the milestone.

Ave Maria led at halftime 39-37 behind a balanced attack. Myers paced the Seahawks in the first half with 10 points on 3-of-6 shooting, including two three-pointers. Mathew Shea provided a scoring spark off the bench with nine points, while Jayle Lee added six points before the break.

The second half belonged to Keiser, as the Seahawks outscored the Gyrenes 54-45 to complete the comeback victory. Myers opened the second with a three that brought him to 1,001 career points. After a strong first half, Shea caught fire, pouring in 12 of his game-high 21 points in the second on 5-of-7 shooting. James came alive in the final period, scoring 14 of his 17 points after halftime on 5-of-10 shooting while pulling down all 7 of his rebounds. With just 47 seconds left, James got on a breakaway and put Keiser up 10 with a fast break slam to ice the game. 

The Seahawks return home for their final home game of the regular season on Wednesday, February 18. Senior day festivities will begin approximately 10 minutes prior to tipoff which is currently scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
