The No. 1 Keiser University men's golf team won the Jupiter Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday at Jonathans Landing Country Club. The Seahawks finished at 46-under-par 794, a school record relative to par, and beat second-place Palm Beach State by 12 strokes.
Keiser shot 264 in the opening round, 268 in the second round and 262 in the final round, a tournament-best 18 under on the last day. Palm Beach State finished at 806 (-34), followed by Webber Int'l at 838 (-2) and Ave Maria at 843 (+3).
Yann Ferrando earned the first individual victory of his Keiser career. He opened with a 7-under 63 and added rounds of 68 and 64 for a 15-under 195. He finished one stroke ahead of Palm Beach State's Nathan Wong (196, -14), who led after 36 holes. Ferrando overtook him with a 6-under final round.
Stanley Campbell took third at 12-under 198 with three straight rounds of 66. Fridtjof Farhang tied for fourth at 10-under 200, and Iver Sokhan-Sanj tied for seventh at 8-under 202. Max Gipson tied for 12th at 2-under 208.
Competing as an individual, Matus Cedzo also tied for seventh at 8-under 202, shooting 69-67-66. In all, six Keiser golfers finished in the top 12.
Keiser's top four finishers in the team race all placed in the top seven, led by Ferrando's victory.
