Â
- Keiser falls to 2-4Â in dual meets this season
- The Seahawks move to 1-9 all-time against Tampa
- Before the meet, the strokes were determined in order, however, the distances were not revealed until swimmers were just behind the blocks
- Keiser opened the meet with a speedy 100 Medley Relay of Pedersen, De Geus, Aleksenko, and Fuhrmann who clocked a time of 41.38 for the win
- Carlos Trinidad had his best moment of the season when the freestyle distance was set for 50 yards and he followed up with a third-place finishÂ
- Aleksenko was upset to hear the maximum distance for the butterfly was selected, but still won by two seconds with a time of 1:48.80
- In the crescendo 250 Yard Free Relay, De Geus, Boeckmann, Malik, and Fuhrmann out-touched the Spartans at the wall to finish with a time of 1:50.28
- The race was a relay that went 25 yards, 50 yards, 75 yards, and then finally 100 yards
- Later in the meet, Aleksenko was much happier and dove straight into the pool when he heard that the backstroke event would be 50 yards
- De Geus also had some relief when he only had to do a 100 Breast in which he swam a 55.19 for the win
- The Seahawks closed out the meet with a 38.50 4x25 Relay swam by De Geus, Aleksenko, Fuhrmann, and Boeckmann
- Overall, the men were slightly more lucky in the pulls, only pulling one true max distance event
