The Sun Conference announced the 2026 Preseason Women's Lacrosse Coaches Poll on Monday morning. Keiser was picked to finish first in the conference by the seven conference coaches.
Top of the League
- The Seahawks led the way with 34 total points including four first-place votes
- Life came second with 30 points and two first-place votes
- SCAD received the final first-place vote and finished third with 26 votes
A Look Back at Last Season
- Last season, the Seahawks posted a 16-2 overall record and were 7-0 in Sun Conference action
- Keiser's season ended in the NAIA National Tournament Semifinal
- 2025 NAIA First-Team All-American Lizzie Belton leads the returners along with Second-Team All-American MacKenzie Gibaud
- Second-team All-Conference members Isabelle Vrensen and Brooklyn Kollar are also back to bolster the lineup
- Vrensen, Gibaud, and Jia Schweigert combined for 130 goals last season on the attacking end
- In the midfield, Emily McCall, Baylee Walker, and Kate Griffin return for another year of action with a combined 53 games played
- On defense, Belton and Kollar will be joined by returners Maya Francisco and Erin Martin
- Raelyn Boutwell is the lone returner in net after posting a 10-2 record last season with a 49.1% save percentage
- Of the newcomers, Head Coach Lauren Chizmar has kept her cards close to her chest but praised attacker Reese Lynch, midfielder Tess Geiger, and goalie Sam Crowther
