The Keiser wrestling team returns home Thursday night as the Seahawks host Brewton-Parker Christian University in a non-conference dual at the Student Life Center. First whistle is set for 7:00 p.m., as Keiser looks to continue building momentum in front of the home crowd.
Keiser enters the dual coming off a strong road performance at Montreat, where the Seahawks secured a convincing 36–9 victory highlighted by wins across the lineup and bonus-point performances throughout the night. The dual served as another step forward for a young Keiser squad that continues to gain valuable mat time against quality competition.
The Seahawks will look to set the tone early in the lower weights, with Patrick Jones (125) and Anthony Santos (141) coming off impressive wins in their last outing. The middle of the lineup continues to be anchored by Julian Gonzales (165) and Ronald Butler (174), both of whom have been consistent point scorers in dual competition this season. Upper weights remain a strength for Keiser, as nationally ranked Sam Libby (184) and Daguy Massillon (285) provide experience and firepower late in the dual.
Brewton-Parker Christian enters the matchup looking to test a Keiser lineup that has shown steady growth throughout the season. Coming off a competitive back and forth dual against AAC foe Truett McConnell winning 26-23 with bonus points being the key to sealing the dual. Thursday night's dual presents another opportunity for the Seahawks to sharpen their execution, compete for seven full minutes, and continue developing depth as the season progresses.
