Maria Vilhena's 14-minute hat trick in the first half led the way for No. 1 Keiser women's soccer on the road in a 4-1 win over (rv) Southeastern. Vilhena's first goal came in the fifth minute off a cross from Lauren Riley. Her next two goals came ten minutes apart and both from corner kicks by Steingerður Snorradóttir to give Keiser the 3-0 lead at the break. Blanca Bächi added a casual strike from outside the box to make it 4-1 before Grace Banker spoiled the shutout with a goal for the Fire in the 65th minute.

Keiser will take on St. Thomas on the road on Saturday in the first Sun Conference game of the season. Kickoff from AutoNation Field in Miami Gardens, Fla. is set for 7:00 p.m.

  • Riley sparked the first goal of the game in the fifth minute as she flew down the wing before crossing it to Vilhena, who volleyed home the first goal of the game
  • Snorradóttir's first corner of the game came in the eighth minute as a looping cross found Vilhena's head at the back post who guided it in
  • 10 minutes later, Snorradóttir was lined up for another corner and again sent a high ball into the box where Vilhena connected with another header to finish her hat trick inside the 20-minute mark

  • The Seahawks had their lowest shooting output of the season but still outshot the Fire 12-5
