No. 1 Women's Soccer has Pair of Road Games Ahead of Them This Week

Keiser women's soccer will hit the road on Wednesday and Friday this week to play Southeastern and St. Thomas. Both games are slated for 7:00 p.m. kickoffs, with Wednesday's game taking place in Lakeland, Fla. and Saturday's game in Miami Gardens, Fla.

  • The Seahawks capped their week of wins with a 3-0 shutout of No. 9 SCAD on Sunday
  • Haley Miller scored the opening goal in the game with a left-footed volley from near the edge of the box that earned her a spot on the Sun Conference Top Plays
  • Blanca Bächi and Lauren Riley followed with goals later in the game before action was called in the 73rd minute due to lightning
  • With three goals in three games, Riley garnered Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors
  • Joining her was SUN Defensive Player of the Week Georgia Little who nabbed two assists for the third consecutive game
  • Little is now tied for the fourth-most assists in the NAIA with eight this season
  • With another shutout on Sunday, KU is up to six on the year which is tied for first in the NAIA
  • In goal, Mio Tanaka has started all eight games and totals 11 saves on the year
  • Southeastern comes into Wednesday's game with an unbeaten record of 5-0-1
  • The Fire are coming off a 3-1 win against Ave Maria and will be playing their first home game since August 23
  • For St. Thomas, they will be coming off a week of rest before hosting the Seahawks
  • The Bobcats are 4-2-2 this season after earning a 0-0 draw against No. 9 SCAD
  • Saturday will also be the first Sun Conference game of the season for either team
