The No. 2 ranked Keiser Seahawks opened the 2025 season with a 38-31 victory at No. 6 Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon. The Seahawks jumped out to 14-0 first quarter and never looked back.
 
The Seahawks racked up 436 yards of total offense versus a team that allowed just 270.8 yards per game last season. Keiser posted 171 yards on the ground paced by Jaden Miller, who had a career-high 140 yards on 19 carries in his first start as a Seahawk. The native of Miami scored four rushing touchdowns in the game, tying the school record (held by Marques Burgess in 2021 and Jaden Meizinger in 2023).
 
Quarterback Shea Spencer threw for 265 yards on 28-of-41 passing with one touchdown. His lone score came on a two-yard pass to Elisha Edwards late in the second quarter. Freshman Dallas Desouza led all wideouts with eight catches for 75 yards.
 
Defensively, the Seahawks were led by linebacker Eli Bertrand, who set the school record for tackles in a game, recording 17 on Saturday. The Sebring, Florida, native also had 0.5 tackles for loss and a pass breakup.
 
With the win, Keiser moved to 1-0 on the season and improved to 7-1 all-time in season openers. The Seahawks have also improved to 23-8 all-time versus ranked opponents.
