No. 3 Men's Golf

Four Seahawks Named 2024-25 NAIA All-Americans

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2024-25 NAIA Men's Golf All-America teams on Thursday. Three teams of 15 individuals each are named to honor a total of 45 student-athletes.

The Seahawks had four members recognized among this year's honorees - Adam Buchanan (first team), Nateesh Ganesh (first team), William Brun Solum (second team), and Yann Ferrando (third team).
 

NAIA First-Team All-Americans

Adam Buchanan, First Year, Ballyclare, Northern Ireland
  • Named an NAIA First-Team All-American for the first time
  • Honored as the 2025 NAIA Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award recipient presented by StrackaLine
  • Becomes the fifth Seahawks to be named the top freshman in the nation
  • Named a First-Team NAIA PING All-American for the first time in his career
  • Garnered NAIA PING All-South Region honors for the first time
  • Became the fifth Seahawk to win the Sun Conference Freshman of the Year honors
  • Marked the first Freshman of the Year honor since the  2022 season (Jack Maxey)
  • Named to the All-Sun Conference Team for the first time
  • Appeared in 10 events for the Seahawks for a total of 30 rounds
  • Had five top-10 finishes with four in the top five
  • Won the Sun Conference Championship, posting an 8-under, 208 (70-67-71)
  • Shot a low-round, 54-hole, 196 at this year's Seahawk Shootout (Sept. 16-17)
  • Notched a top-5 finish at the Roadrunner Classic (April 7-8), tying for fourth with a 1-over, 217
  • Carded another top-5 finish, tying for fifth with a 4-over, 220, at the Battle at Laughlin Ranch (March 24-25)
  • Entered the NAIA National Championship with an adjusted scoring average of  70.9
  • Named the Sun Conference Golfer of the Week (April 14)
  • Ranked No. 14 in the nation by clippd

Nateesh Ganesh, First Year, Malacca, Malaysia
  • Named an NAIA First-Team All-American for the first time
  • A member of the NAIA All-Tournament Team 
  • Named to the NAIA PING All-South Region Team for the first time
  • Named to the All-Sun Conference Team for the first time
  • Appeared in nine events for the Seahawks for a total of 26 rounds
  • Had four top-10 finishes with two tournament wins
  • A two-time Sun Conference Golfer of the Week
  • Named the NAIA Golfer of the Week (March 19)
  • Shot a low-round, 54-hole, 207 at this year's Kona Ice Keiser Kup
  • Led Keiser with a sixth-place finish with a 2-under, 211, in the NAIA National Championship
  • Ended the year with an adjusted scoring average of  70.9
  • Ranked No. 10 in the nation by clippd

  
NAIA Second-Team All-American

William Brun Solum, Second Year, Tonsberg, Norway
  • Earned NAIA Second-Team All-America honors for the first time in his career
  • Named to the NAIA PING All-South Region Team for the first time
  • Earned Sun Conference Golfer of the Year honors
  • Named to the All-Sun Conference Team for the first time
  • Appeared in eight events for the Seahawks for a total of 23 rounds
  • Had five top-10 finishes with three in the top five
  • Finished tied for third in the Sun Conference Championship, shooting a 3-under, 213
  • Shot a low-round, 54-hole, 206 at this year's Seahawk Shootout (Sept. 16-17)
  • Carded a 208 at the Kona Ice Keiser Kup to finish second (March 9-11)
  • Posted a 5-under, 211, at the Coastal Georgia Winter Invitatonal (Feb. 10-11), placing tied for third 
  • Recorded a top-10 finish in 71.4 percent of the events played this season
  • Finished the year with an adjusted scoring average of 71.0
  • Ranked No. 12 in the nation by clippd
 

NAIA Third-Team All-American

Yann Ferrando, Second Year, Biscarose, France
  • Earned Third-Team NAIA All-America recoginition for the second straight year 
  • Named to the NAIA PING All-South Region Team for the first time
  • Named to the All-Sun Conference Team for the second straight year
  • Appeared in 10 events for the Seahawks for a total of 30 rounds
  • Had two top-10 finishes 
  • Finished seventh at the 2024 Seahawk Shootout (Sept. 16-17), shooting a 1-under, 200
  • Shot a low-round, 54-hole, 200 at this year's Seahawk Shootout
  • Finished the year with an adjusted scoring average of  72.0
  • Ranked No. 48 in the naiton by clippd
