(rv) Baseball came up just short in a comeback effort against No. 7 Webber International, falling 7-6 in the second round of The Sun Conference Tournament.
After trailing 5-0 in the third inning, the Seahawks chipped away at the deficit. Palmer Hutchison got Keiser on the board in the third with an RBI single, and a four-run fifth inning put the Seahawks within two. The rally featured RBI hits from Gavin Baird and Dylan Symonds, a sacrifice fly by Reese Collins, and a groundout RBI by Jeremy Garcia.
The Warriors scored what would become the game-winning run in the top of the fifth. Despite multiple late-inning opportunities, the Seahawks couldn't push across the tying run.
Offensively, Andrew Almendarez led the way with a 3-for-5 night and scored three runs. Hutchison added two hits and an RBI, while Symonds contributed a double and one RBI.
On the mound, Duke Coborn (5-3) was charged with the loss. Garrett Brogdon was strong out of the bullpen, throwing 4.2 no-hit innings with four strikeouts.
