Alex Adams Named Head Coach of Keiser Women's Soccer

Keiser Director of Athletics Kris Swogger announced on Wednesday the hiring of Alex Adams as the next head coach of the Keiser women's soccer program.

"I am delighted to welcome Alex Adams to Keiser University as our next head women's soccer coach," said Swogger. "Our women's soccer team is one of the elite programs in the country, and I am confident he will enhance an already strong foundation. What stood out during the interview process was his commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field—something that aligns perfectly with our culture. I look forward to the next chapter of Keiser women's soccer under his leadership and am confident that, under his guidance, we will continue to achieve great success."

"I would like to thank my wife, my family and friends for their support during this amazing opportunity," Adams said. "I will be forever grateful to everyone at Campbellsville University for developing me as a person, coach, and shaping me into the man I am today. Keiser University, the women's soccer program, and this community are a special place and a move like this would not have been possible without them. I'd like to thank Dr. Gary Vonk, Kris Swogger, Jamie Shoemaker, and the entire Keiser staff for allowing me the opportunity to be the next head women's soccer coach. I look forward to building on the foundation that's been created by Coach (Mat) Dunn over his career. I am eager to work with my staff and the players as we will continue to maintain a championship culture."

Adams joins Keiser after 13 seasons at Campbellsville University, where he spent six years as the head coach of the women's soccer program. In addition to his role with the women's team, he also assisted with the men's program, helping both teams achieve their highest national ranking in school history.

During his tenure as head coach, Adams led the women's team to its first Mid-South Conference Championship in 2022 and four NAIA National Tournament appearances. Under his leadership, the Tigers produced three NAIA All-Americans, 29 all-conference selections, and the 2023 Mid-South Conference Player of the Year.

Adams was named Mid-South Conference Coach of the Year in 2021 and earned NCCAA Mideast Region Coach of the Year honors for six consecutive seasons (2019–2024). Over his six-year head coaching tenure, the Tigers posted a 71-33-7 record.

As a player, Adams was a three-time Mid-South Conference Second Team All-Conference selection. In his senior season (2010), he led Campbellsville to a 19-6 record and a fifth-place national finish in the NCCAA. That same year, he was honored as the Mid-South Conference Champion of Character. He was also a three-time MSC Academic All-Conference honoree (2008–2010) and an NAIA Scholar-Athlete in 2010.

Adams graduated in May 2011 with a degree in Business Administration and later earned his MBA from Campbellsville University. He is married to Chelsea Miller.
