Keiser softball hosted their 2025 Sun Conference opener this afternoon, and took down Florida Memorial in game one of a three game series. The Seahawks got a signature pitching performance from
Mackenzie Masternak, and defeated the Lions 1-0 to improve their record to 14-5 (1-0).

- Mackenzie Masternak had perhaps her best game yet, pitching a complete game shutout with five strikeouts (80 pitches)
- The Seahawks had a star performance from Mackenzie Masternak, and scored the game winning run in the fifth inning
KU 0, FMU 0
- The Lions got a runner on with a single, but the Seahawks quickly turned a 3-6-4 double play to eliminate the scoring threat
Keiser 1, FMU 0
- After Trinity Rohrer reached on a walk, the Seahawks finally scored the only run of the game when Bridget Dunham hit a double down the left field line to score Rohrer
Keiser 1, FMU 0
- Florida Memorial had one final chance to tie the contest, but the Keiser defense remained steadfast and retired the Lions in order to end the game

The Seahawks will complete the series in a doubleheader beginning at noon tomorrow.
