Keiser flag football remained unbeaten on the season with a 57-0 shutout victory over the Siena Heights Saints on Thursday afternoon. Keiser produced 310 yards of total offense while holding SHU to just 94 as the Seahawks picked up their second shutout of the season and 21st in program history. 

From the get-go, the Seahawks were in full control, leading with a staggering 32-0 advantage at halftime. Kennedy Foster, Janasia Wilson, Ashlea Klam, Brenna Ramirez, Hanna Lencioni-Gonzalez, Olivia Rijo, and Valentina Fanetti all contributed to the scoreboard, turning the game into a showcase of Keiser's depth and talent. Notably, Ashlea Klam scored a touchdown on a 30-yard punt return in the first quarter, while Brenna Ramirez added another highlight with a 45-yard touchdown in the second quarter.

Adding to the victory, Haylie Young threw for 178 yards and delivered five touchdown passes. On the defensive side, Rijo recorded her first career interception, an accomplishment that capped off Keiser's overall dominant performance. 

With the win, Keiser extended their home-winning streak to 11 games.
 

First Quarter

Keiser 19, Siena Heights 0
  • The Seahawks opened the game with a seven-pla, 66-yard drive which was capped off with a pass from Haylie Young to Chloe Griffin, who pitched the ball to Kennedy Foster, resulting in a 10-yard TD pass
  • With the missed extra point, Keiser led, 6-0, with 8:46 on the game clock
  • After a three-and-out by the Saints, Keiser added another score as Young completed a 16-yard touchdown pass to Janasia Wilson (4:21)
  • The made extra point gave Keiser a 13-0 lead
  • Again, the Seahawk defense held the Saints to a short eight-yard drive before forcing another punt
  • A 36-yard punt by Alexa Brewster sent the ball to the KU 22-yard line where Foster returned to ball to the Siena Height's 30. Before getting her flag pulled Foster pitched the ball to Ashlea Klam, who took it to the house for the score
  • With the return for a touchdown, Keiser led, 19-0

Second Quarter

Keiser 32, Siena Heights 0
  • At the start of the second quarter, Keiser forced another SHU punt as a Chloe Griffin return gave the Seahawks the ball at the Saint's 12-yard line with 9:49 left in the half
  • Two plays later, Young connected with Ramirez for a 12-yard score.
  • Adrianna Cavalotti rushed for the extra point, giving the Seahawks a 26-0 lead (8:38)
  • The Seahawks started their second drive of the quarter at the SHU 37-yard line (4:50)
  • A 29-yard rush by Klam set up Keiser with first-and-goal from the Siena Heights eight-yard line
  • Klam completed the drive with a five-yard touchdown catch from Young (32-0 with 2:28 remaining)
  • The Saints looked to get on the board as the end of the quarter neared, taking the ball to the Keiser 17-yard line with 27 seconds on the game clock
  • A pass break up in the endzone by Hannah Jayes as time expired kept the shutout intact

Third Quarter

Keiser 44, Siena Heights 0
  • The second half began the same way as the first as Keiser scored a touchdown on their opening drive
  • Young found Ramirez down the sideline for a 45-yard touchdown pass as the Seahawks pushed their lead to 38-0 (8:54)
  • Later in the quarter, Valentina Fanetti drove the Seahawks 43 yards on five plays as the second-year quarterback completed a four-yard touchdown pass to Hanna Lencioni-Gonzalez (44-0 with 1:57 on the game clock)

Fourth Quarter

Keiser 57, Siena Heights 0
  • The Seahawks added two more touchdowns in the fourth as Fanetti found Olivia Rijo for nine yards (7:42) and then rushed for another score (five-yard run as the game ended
  • The win marked the second shutout victory of the season for the Seahawks and 21st in program history

Keiser will travel to Tampa, Florida, for the Tampa Tournament March 14-15. The team's first game will be against Pasco-Hernando State on Friday, March 14. Game time is set for 4:00 PM.
