(rv) Keiser softball was defeated today by No. 14 Southeastern in game one of a three game series. The Seahawks fought hard, but were unable to produce enough runs to keep up with the Fire. Keiser will get another chance versus Southeastern tomorrow afternoon in a doubleheader to decide the series.

Pitchers of Record: W: Zelenka (11-2), L: Masternak (13-4)

• Mackenzie Masternak started the game and pitched the first four innings (66 pitches)
• Maggie Miller pitched the final three innings in relief (39 pitches)

• Genesis Iglesias went 2-3 with a double
• Bridget Dunham, Kelsey Ganci, and Claire Czajkowski each hit a single

• The Seahawks matched Southeastern's hit total with five, but fell short on the scoreboard and moved to 24-10 overall

KU 0, SEU 2

• The Fire took an early lead on an RBI single and a fielder's choice

KU 1, SEU 2

• Keiser cut the lead in half when Bridget Dunham hit an RBI single through the right side to score Macy Schaaf from second base

KU 1, SEU 3

• Southeastern tacked on an insurance run on a sacrifice fly to centerfield

The Seahawks will try to swipe the series from Southeastern tomorrow in a doubleheader starting at 1:00 p.m.
