(rv) Keiser softball went 1-1 today in a doubleheader with No. 18 St. Thomas. The Seahawks won the first game 4-3 in a nine inning battle, and fell 5-3 in the second game. Keiser is now 24-9, 7-2 overall.

- Mackenzie Masternak pitched a full nine innings, grabbing two strikeouts in a resilient performance (116 pitches)
- The Seahawks went punch for punch with the Bobcats and walked off the game in the ninth inning

- The Bobcats wasted no time getting on the board, taking the lead on a solo home run

- St. Thomas went back in front with another solo home run, this one going over the left field wall

- Keiser was able to tie the game when Genesis Iglesias got an RBI single to drop into right field, allowing Faith Campos to score from second

- With the game in extra innings and the international tie breaker rule in effect, the Bobcats threatened to steal the win when they retook the lead on a sac-fly

- After a clutch defensive stand in the top of the inning, Keiser loaded the bases thanks to a Bobcat error and a walk
- Genesis Iglesias won the game for KU with bouncing ball over the head of the third baseman, bringing home Macy Schaaf for the walk-off win

Pitchers of Record: W: Toon (16-2), L: Small (5-5)
- Lizzy Small pitched the first three innings, striking out three batters (59 pitches)
- Anne Melle pitched two innings in relief of Small (26 pitches)
- Maggie Miller pitched the final two innings, allowing no runs and striking out one batter (21 pitches)
- The Seahawks fought to the end, but were unable to keep up with St. Thomas's 10 hits and a late rally fell short
KU 0, STU 1
- St. Thomas once again took the early lead with a solo home run from STU's Isabella Andujar, her third of the day
KU 0, STU 4
- STU added to their lead with two RBI doubles, and an RBI single
KU 0, STU 5
- Keiser went down by five when STU scored their final run of the day on an RBI single up the middle
KU 3, STU 5
- Faith Campos singled to right field to bring home Kelsey Ganci
- Genesis Iglesias dropped a long single to right field that scored Campos and Dunham
- Unfortunately for Keiser, the scoring run would end there, and the Bobcats closed out the game 5-3

The Seahawks will host No. 14 Southeastern for a three game series, with first pitch of game one set for 3:00 p.m. this Tuesday.
