(rv) Keiser Baseball kept its perfect season alive with a dramatic 8-7 comeback victory over Midland, improving to 13-0. The Seahawks found themselves in an early 4-0 hole after the first inning and trailed 7-2 by the fourth. However, the Seahawks battled back with a two-run homer from Simon Grinberg and a solo shot from Gavin Baird in the fifth, followed by patient at-bats in the sixth that tied the game at 7-7.
With the bullpen holding Midland scoreless over the final five innings, Keiser had a chance to complete the comeback in the ninth. Jeremy Garcia delivered in the clutch, knocking a walk-off RBI single to seal the victory. Tanner Goswick earned the win in relief.
Keiser's pitching staff delivered a strong performance over the weekend, holding Midland to a .194 batting average and posting a 3.66 ERA across four games.
The Seahawks will start a three-game series with Bryant and Stratton on Friday Mar. 7th in double-header fashion starting at 11:00 AM.
