Keiser softball played two teams receiving votes in the latest NAIA poll this afternoon on their first day of competition in the USSSA Space Coast Games. The Seahawks took down (rv) Johnson, and fell in six innings to (rv) Grand View.
Keiser Seahawks 9, (rv) Johnson Royals 5

- The Seahawks got off to a hot start, and held off a late Johnson rally to take the game.
KU 3, Johnson 0
- Keiser got on the board first when two runners scored on a Royal throwing error
- Tessa DiPietra brought Lizzy Small home with a bases loaded walk

- The Royals scored their first run of the game with a double steal

- Johnson plated two runs with a pair of RBI doubles

- The Royals cut the Keiser lead down to one with a 2 RBI double

- Genesis Iglesias padded the KU lead with a 2 RBI triple to center field, and crossed home plate herself on a wild pitch
Keiser Seahawks 0, (rv) Grandview Vikings 9
Pitchers of Record: W: Waldorf (2-2), L: Masternak (7-1)
- Keiser fell victim to a five run second inning from the Vikings, and a season-high five errors
KU 0, Grand View 5
- The Vikings plated one run on a fielding error, another on a fielder's choice, two runs on a single, and the fifth run on a double steal
KU 0, Grand View 9
- Grand View got two more runners home on a Keiser throwing error
- The Viking's final two runs of the game were scored on a 2 RBI single

The Seahawks will play Bethel (Ind.) at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow, and Spring Arbor at 4:45 p.m.
