Keiser softball moved to 9-3 today with a doubleheader sweep of Florida National. The Seahawks were able to put on a strong display of hitting, and Lizzy Small put her name beside another Keiser school record.

Pitchers of Record: W: Masternak (6-0), L: Beteta (0-3)

• Mackenzie Masternak remains undefeated on the season after tossing three strikeouts (76 pitches)

• Bridget Dunham went 3-4 and stole a base
• Lizzy Small went 3-3
• Faith Campos went 2-4 with a stolen base

• The Seahawks piled up 14 hits and pulled away in the late innings

KU 2, FNU 0

• Macy Schaaf scored the day's first run on a sacrifice fly to score Lizzy Small
• Kelsey Ganci brought home Ashley Bullock with an RBI single

KU 2, FNU 1

• The Conquistadors cut the lead in half with an RBI single

KU 6, FNU 1

• Bridget Dunham ignited a KU scoring run with a single that brought home Tessa DiPietra
• Genesis Iglesias scored Kelsey Ganci with a sac-fly
• Claire Cjazkowski recorded an RBI on a flyout that scored Dunham from third base
• Lizzy Small whacked a single to centerfield that scored Faith Campos

KU 6, FNU 4

• The Conquistadors fought to get back in the game, and cut the Keiser lead down to two with a solo home run, and a 2 RBI single

KU 9, FNU 4

• Bridget Dunham got her second RBI of the game with a single that scored Tessa DiPietra
• Faith Campos reached on a fielder's choice, allowing Abby Arend to come home
• Genesis Iglesias put the game out of reach with an RBI single to centerfield that brought Faith Campos across home plate

Keiser Seahawks 10, Florida National Conquistadors 3
Pitchers of Record: W: Small (2-3), L: Cande (0-1)

• Lizzy Small got the win, and took possession of Keiser's career innings pitched record in the process (87 pitches)
• Anne Melle finished the game in relief, logging two strikeouts (15 pitches)

• Genesis Iglesias went 3-4
• Claire Czajkowski had two extra base hits, with five RBI
• Hollie Pabst hit her first career home run
• Faith Campos scored two runs and stole a base
• Macy Schaaf stole two bases

• Keiser continued to hit the ball well, scoring a season-high 10 runs

KU 0, FNU 1

• Florida National struck first on a Keiser fielding error

KU 3, FNU 1

• Keiser responded with a 2 RBI double from Claire Czajkowski to reclaim the lead
• Macy Schaaf walked with the bases loaded to bring home Genesis Iglesias

• Claire Czajkowski smashed a no-doubt home run over the left field wall, bringing home Genesis Iglesias and Faith Campos

KU 6, FNU 3

• The Conquistadors wouldn't go down easy, and cut the lead in half with back-to-back RBI doubles

KU 10, FNU 3

• In an important situation, the Seahawks loaded the bases with two outs on the board after the FNU scoring rally
• Freshman Hollie Pabst entered the game as a pinch hitter, and sent Seahawk nation and Alumni Field into a frenzy with a booming grand slam to left field
• Pabst grand slam gave the Keiser Seahawks all the momentum they needed to close out the game, and move their record to 9-3. 

The Seahawks will be in Viera, Fla. next weekend for the Space Coast Spring Games. Keiser will take on (rv) Johnson, (rv) Grand View, Bethel (Ind.), and Spring Arbor.
