Coach's Corner

When asked about today's result, Head Coach Daniel Finn had this to say: "Team win today. Happy that the girls found a way to get the job done against the No. 3 team in D-II, at their place, especially after we had been under the weather for the past week. Since the day we got back from Kansas, we have only had one practice with the whole team together due to sickness. The message going in was that it is ok not to play particularly well, but to control what we can, and we will still expect to fight and win regardless. That's what they did today and why we were able to come out on top. We still have a lot to work on, but I'm happy with the grit and will that the ladies showed today.

On the depth of the lineup, "It's safe to say the depth of the team in singles was displayed today. In singles we had the No. 1 and No. 5 ranked players in the county go down and were still able to get the win. I'd say it's a testament to the level of competitive depth that we have. However, the schedule does not get any easier from here, so the main focus is to get rested and recover to get ready for next week."
