Keiser softball closed out their weekly slate today with a doubleheader sweep of Fort Lauderdale. The Seahawks now hold a 7-3 overall record.

- Mackenzie Masternak grabbed her fifth win of the season, striking out four batters (87 pitches)
- The Seahawks got off to a lighting fast start, and maintained control the entire way

- Lizzy Small got her first win of the season, striking out four batters (86 pitches)
- Mackenzie Masternak picked up her first save as a Seahawk (nine pitches)
- Keiser scored three runs early on, and held off a late Eagles rally to secure the doubleheader sweep

- Tessa DiPietra made one of the wildest plays in Keiser softball history, reaching base on a bunt single, and racing all the way home due to a three base error from the Eagles
- Macy Schaaf also scored on the play

- The Seahawks found themselves in a tricky spot late, with the Eagles plating a run with an RBI single, and loading the bases with a chance to tie the game
- Mackenzie Masternak entered the circle in relief of Small, and was able to record the final out

The Seahawks will host Florida National next Saturday for a home doubleheader, with first pitch of game one set for 12:00 p.m. at Alumni Field.
