Keiser softball moved their record to 5-3 today with a doubleheader split versus Oklahoma Wesleyan. The Seahawks used some late-inning magic to walk off game one and fell by one run in the second game.
Keiser Seahawks 2, Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles 1
Pitchers of Record: W: Masternak (4-0), L: Van Fleet (0-1)
- The Seahawks were battling a 1-0 deficit for most of the game, but found life in the seventh inning and walked off the game in the eighth

- With two outs on the board, the Eagles hit a ball into right field, but Macy Schaaf zipped it into first base for the rare 9-3 putout and ended the scoring threat

- The Eagles took the lead on a solo home run

- After three more scoreless innings, the Seahawks were in dire straits, trailing by one with one out on the board in the seventh
- Trinity Rohrer electrified Alumni Field with a towering home run over the left field wall, and the Seahawks found themselves in a brand new ball game

- After keeping home plate clean in the top of the 8th, KU had a chance to walk off the game
- With the extra innings international tie-breaker rule in effect, Claire Czajkowski hit her second walk-off double in six days, bringing home Faith Campos as the winning run

Pitchers of Record: W: Stanton (2-1), L: Small (0-3)
- Keiser was unable to overcome an early scoring run from OKWU and was held back by errors

- After Oklahoma Wesleyan's leadoff batter reached on a fielding error, the Eagles were able to plate three runs with an RBI double, and a bases-clearing, two-RBI double in the next at-bat

- After the Eagles loaded the bases, Keiser nearly ended the threat with a double play, but the Oklahoma Wesleyan batter was called safe at first and the Eagles retook the lead with a fielder's choice RBI

- The Seahawks had life late and got two runners on base with a single and a walk
- Unfortunately for the Seahawks, the tying run was stranded at second base when the final two batters struck out

The Seahawks will host Fort Lauderdale for a home doubleheader, starting 1:00 p.m. at Alumni Field.
