Keiser softball moved their record to 5-3 today with a doubleheader split versus Oklahoma Wesleyan. The Seahawks used some late-inning magic to walk off game one and fell by one run in the second game.

Pitchers of Record: W: Masternak (4-0), L: Van Fleet (0-1)

• Mackenzie Masternak remained unbeaten on the season (101 pitches)

• Ashley Bullock went 2-for-3
• Bridget Dunham stole a base
• Claire Czajkowski hit a walk-off double for the second week in a row
• Lizzy Small hit a double
• Altus, Oklahoma native Trinity Rohrer tied the game in the seventh inning with a home run

• The Seahawks were battling a 1-0 deficit for most of the game, but found life in the seventh inning and walked off the game in the eighth

• With two outs on the board, the Eagles hit a ball into right field, but Macy Schaaf zipped it into first base for the rare 9-3 putout and ended the scoring threat

• The Eagles took the lead on a solo home run

• After three more scoreless innings, the Seahawks were in dire straits, trailing by one with one out on the board in the seventh
• Trinity Rohrer electrified Alumni Field with a towering home run over the left field wall, and the Seahawks found themselves in a brand new ball game

• After keeping home plate clean in the top of the 8th, KU had a chance to walk off the game
• With the extra innings international tie-breaker rule in effect, Claire Czajkowski hit her second walk-off double in six days, bringing home Faith Campos as the winning run

Pitchers of Record: W: Stanton (2-1), L: Small (0-3) 

• Lizzy Small started the game, striking out three batters (98 pitches)
• Mackenzie Masternak finished the game, striking out one batter (10 pitches)

• Macy Schaaf went 2-for-2, stole a base, and scored a run
• Genesis Iglesias hit a double and stole a base
• Faith Campos walked twice and stole a base

• Keiser was unable to overcome an early scoring run from OKWU and was held back by errors

• After Oklahoma Wesleyan's leadoff batter reached on a fielding error, the Eagles were able to plate three runs with an RBI double, and a bases-clearing, two-RBI double in the next at-bat

• The Seahawks got a run on the board when Lizzy Small reached on a fielder's choice, allowing Bridget Dunham to score

• Lizzy Small grabbed her second RBI of the game with a single to left field that scored Genesis Iglesias

• With the bases loaded, Bridget Dunham picked up an RBI on a groundout that brought Macy Schaaf home

• After the Eagles loaded the bases, Keiser nearly ended the threat with a double play, but the Oklahoma Wesleyan batter was called safe at first and the Eagles retook the lead with a fielder's choice RBI

• The Seahawks had life late and got two runners on base with a single and a walk
• Unfortunately for the Seahawks, the tying run was stranded at second base when the final two batters struck out

The Seahawks will host Fort Lauderdale for a home doubleheader, starting 1:00 p.m. at Alumni Field.
