Keiser Wins One, Drops One to Oklahoma Wesleyan

Keiser softball moved their record to 5-3 today with a doubleheader split versus Oklahoma Wesleyan. The Seahawks used some late-inning magic to walk off game one and fell by one run in the second game.

  • The Seahawks were battling a 1-0 deficit for most of the game, but found life in the seventh inning and walked off the game in the eighth

  • With two outs on the board, the Eagles hit a ball into right field, but Macy Schaaf zipped it into first base for the rare 9-3 putout and ended the scoring threat

  • After the Eagles loaded the bases, Keiser nearly ended the threat with a double play, but the Oklahoma Wesleyan batter was called safe at first and the Eagles retook the lead with a fielder's choice RBI

  • The Seahawks had life late and got two runners on base with a single and a walk
  • Unfortunately for the Seahawks, the tying run was stranded at second base when the final two batters struck out
