The (rv) Keiser baseball team completed a dominant sweep of the Grace College Lancers with a 6-1 victory in the series finale. The Seahawks jumped out to an early lead, thanks to Palmer Hutchison's clutch double down the right field line in the bottom of the first, driving in two runs. On the mound, Kyle Keyes delivered a masterful performance, tossing eight efficient innings on just 70 pitches while striking out three batters.
Throughout the series, Keiser's offense was red-hot, batting .365 with 35 hits, 14 doubles, one triple, and five home runs, totaling 35 runs scored. Gavin Baird led the charge with eight RBIs, belting three of the team's five home runs. Landon Lowe also stood out, hitting a blistering .636 with seven hits and three doubles.
The Seahawks' pitching staff was equally impressive, racking up 22 strikeouts over the weekend. Garrett Brogdon and Duke Coborn each struck out seven batters, showcasing the team's depth on the mound.
