The Keiser men's cross country team capped off their 2025 campaign with a fifth-place finish at the Sun Conference Championship, held Saturday morning in Hardeeville, South Carolina. The Seahawks scored 132 points, landing just behind St. Thomas and ahead of Warner and New College of Florida.

Mhammed Baghati paced Keiser with a strong performance, placing eighth overall in 25:48.5, earning his second top-10 finish of the season. Sophomore Gorata Gabankitse followed in 18th place (26:43.5), while fellow sophomore Adrian Rivadulla clocked 27:27.2 to finish 27th.

Rounding out Keiser's scoring five were Othmane Gharassi (39th – 29:33.5) and Francesco De Nicola (40th – 29:50.0), with Nikola Vukelja (43rd – 31:34.8) and Giancarlo Vecchio (44th – 31:46.9) also contributing to a solid team effort in a deep conference field.

Head Coach Harvey Simpson said this about the teams performance this season.

"Today concluding yet another cross country season, both our men and women performed and out-performed some of their own expectations… All in all, I am proud and pleased with all of their individual results. All our ladies had big PRs and very close to National Qualifiers with Mohammed finishing 5th individually /8th overall and Gorata 18th overall."
