Keiser Wrestling Aim to Continue Strong Start at Georgia Open

The Keiser wrestling team will hit the road this weekend for the Georgia Open, hosted by Emmanuel University in Franklin Springs, Georgia. The Seahawks are coming off a strong showing at last week's Pepsi Patriot Open, where they placed 13th out of 30 teams and tallied a program-record 101 points and five placers across two divisions.

Leading the charge for Keiser will be Sam Libby, who made history by becoming the first Seahawk to win an Open division title, capturing the 184-pound championship. The Seahawks also saw standout performances from Daguy Massillon (2nd – 285, Fr./So.), Jake Wyatt (5th – 141, Fr./So.), Derrique Mytial (6th – 133, Fr./So.), and Julian Gonzales (6th – 165, Fr./So.). The Seahawks will look to carry that momentum into the Georgia Open, featuring a larger roster and several wrestlers making their season debut. Returning national qualifier Jett McCauley will once again anchor the upper weights, while veterans Joaquin Tanabe, Rocco D'Ascoli, and Ronald Butler add experience and leadership to a deep Keiser lineup.
