The Keiser wrestling team is set to open the 2025-26 season on the road this Saturday, November 1st, at the Pepsi Patriot Open hosted by the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky. The tournament marks the beginning of the second season under Head Coach Cole Manion, as the Seahawks look to build on last year's progress and set the tone for a strong campaign.
Leading the way for Keiser will be returning national qualifier Jett McCauley. The 197-pound standout posted a 27-16 record last season and went 2-2 at the NAIA National Championships. McCauley's experience and leadership will anchor a lineup that blends proven returners with promising new talent.
Key returners this weekend include Josiah Fernandez (133), Joaquin Tanabe (149), and Rocco D'Ascoli (184) — each expected to play a pivotal role in the Seahawks' success throughout the season. Their veteran presence provides stability and competitiveness across multiple weight classes.
Joining them in the season opener are several new faces eager to make an impact early, as the Seahawks test themselves against a competitive field in one of the NAIA's premier early-season tournaments.
