No. 25 Keiser men's basketball stayed red-hot on the road, dominating Warner 82-58 on Saturday in Lake Wales to remain undefeated in Sun Conference play. After a tightly contested first half that saw both teams deadlocked at 28, the Seahawks exploded in the second period with a relentless 54-point barrage that left no doubt about the outcome. The victory marked Keiser's fifth straight win and solidified their position atop the conference standings at 2-0.
The first half was a back-and-forth affair featuring four ties and multiple lead changes. Warner's Seth Childers and Jamal Norris combined for 14 first-half points, while Bryson Castillo knocked down a pair of three-pointers to keep the Royals competitive. Jackson Slater answered for Keiser with eight points including two triples, but it was his buzzer-beating three-pointer at the halftime horn that shifted the momentum and sent the Seahawks into the locker room energized despite the deadlock.
The second half belonged entirely to Keiser. Camerin James took complete control, unleashing a 24-point explosion in the final 20 minutes to finish with a game-high 30 points on a dominant 12-of-18 shooting performance. James was a force of nature in the paint, grabbing 11 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. The Seahawks' offensive onslaught began immediately after halftime, with James and Downie converting back-to-back baskets to seize a lead they would never relinquish. Slater orchestrated the offense, adding 20 points of his own, connecting on 4-of-4 from beyond the arc. Nadir Myers provided a spark with 12 points on efficient shooting, including 3-of-4 from three-point range. Downie contributed 11 points while helping control the tempo alongside Slater. Cameron Baldwin dominated the defensive end with a six-block performance, repeatedly erasing Warner's attempts to climb back into the contest. His rim protection anchored a Seahawks defense that forced 13 turnovers and converted them into 18 points on the other end.
The Seahawks will return home for a game against the University of the Virgin Islands on Tuesday, November 25. Tipoff from the Student Life Center in West Palm Beach, Fla. is set for 6:00 p.m.
