Keiser men's tennis closed out day two of the ITA Regional Championship on Friday with mixed results. The men went 5-5 in singles play while going 0-2 in doubles.
The Round of 16 singles kicked off day two as
Shaheed Alam,
Didrik Liljekvist, and
Yassir Kilani eased by their opponents to secure spots in the quarterfinals. Alam and Liljekvist bested their ranked opponents to set up an all-Keiser semifinal on the top side of the bracket. The doubles matches did not go to plan for KU as Alam and Liljekvist were beat by Mark Tryakshin and Diego Fernandez of SCAD while Diego Menendez Vina and Piero Fernandez downed
Simone Boscatto and
Felipe Rivadeneira. With all of the KU doubles teams eliminated, the title will not come back to Keiser for the first time since 2016.
