Byron May was named this week's Sun Conference Special Teams Player of the Week, announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

- The award marks the first weekly award of the season for May and the first of his career
- May had a stellar night at Newberry College on Saturday as the No. 1-ranked Keiser Seahawks extended their winning streak to 13 games
- Produced three total tackles and recovered a fumble but his biggest play of the day was blocking a 39-yard field goal attempt by the Wolves which was return by Keiser down to the Newberry College 14-yard line
- It ultimately set up the Seahawk's final touchdown of the game as KU picked up its second straight win over an NCAA Division II team
- On the year, May has recorded four total tackles with 1.0 tackle for loss. He has also recorded one pass break up and one quarterback hurry
The Seahawks will host the Fort Lauderdale Eagles in the Seahawk's 2024 home opener on Saturday, September 21. Game time from the Keiser Football Field is set for 6:00 PM.
