(rv) Seahawks Fall to Webber International in Tight Five Set Match

The Keiser volleyball team played their second five-set match of the week. The Seahawks and the Warriors of Webber International fought until the end, but the Warriors gained the upper hand, winning set five (25-22, 21-25, 25-15, 20-25, 12-15). This match marked the second consecutive five-set match for Keiser. Errors impacted the Seahawks' performance, with 10 recorded over the five sets, including six reception errors.

SET 1 (KU, 25-22)

  • Keiser took an early 4-2 lead over Webber Int'l with a block assist from Aby Tibesar and Mackenzie Pryor
  • Two blocks from the Warriors gave Webber Int'l an 11-8 lead
  • A bad set from the Warriors brought the Seahawks back, tying the match at 12-12
  • Back-to-back attack errors from Webber Int'l gave Keiser a 17-15 lead, prompting a timeout
  • Kills by Aby Tibesar and Frederica Silva extended the Seahawks' lead
  • A four-point run by the Warriors forced Keiser to take a timeout
  • Isabella Steffel closed out the first set with a kill
