The Keiser volleyball team maintained their unbeaten road record after sweeping Day One of the Cumberlands Invite in Williamsburg, Ky., on Friday morning. The Seahawks defeated the Bulldogs of Union (3-0; 25-19, 25-19, 25-10) and the Racers of Northwestern Ohio (3-0; 25-16, 25-12, 25-23).
The Seahawks had five players with nine or more kills in the two matches early Friday morning. Junior outside hitter and reigning Sun Attacker of the Week Mackenzie Pryor totaled 29 kills on the day (.292 pct). Frederica Silva also reached double digits in kills with 15, hitting .186. Emma Friese, Isabella Steffel, and Aby Tibesar each totaled nine kills. The Sun Setter of the Week, Hannah Heide, recorded 55 assists in the two wins and notched six kills. Five Seahawks had double digits in digs: Faith Marquis (28), Silva (18), Abby Lester (14), Pryor (15), and Heide (19).
