After a successful appearance at the Vipers Sports Academy Classic this past weekend, the Keiser volleyball team will turn its attention to a tri-match with Oregon Tech and Benedictine Mesa on Monday, August 19. The Seahawks will square off with the Redhawks at 10:00 AM and the take on the Lady Owls at 2:00 PM at the Student Life Center. Oregon Tech and Benedictine Mesa will face each other at noon.
Keiser enters Monday's action with a perfect 5-0 record. The Seahawks hit a blistering .316 (No. 3 in the nation) over the first five games of the season, producing 247 kills (No. 2 in the nation). Outside hitter Mackenzie Pryor leads the team and the nation in kills (94) and kills per set (6.27). The native of Hagerstown, Maryland, registered a hitting percentage of .426 over this past week and set the school record for kills and four-set match, tallying 32 in Keiser's 3-1 win over Mobile (8/15). Hannah Heide added 183 assists this past week, averaging 10.76 per set. Her 183 assists currently rank No. 2 in the NAIA. Libero Faith Marquis made her presence felt in her first five matches as a Seahawk, averaging 5.29 digs per set (90 total).
